David Lloyd Hatfield

David Lloyd Hatfield really lives up to its promise to ‘elevate your everyday’. The pool is absolutely lovely, the gym is brilliant and the range and quality of classes is amazing! My favourite class is Blaze- an incredible workout thanks to the brilliant Emily Arnold. I have done a number of Blaze workouts and PT sessions with Emily and she is absolutely fantastic- so motivating, she gets you achieving goals you thought were totally unattainable, and somehow makes the process really enjoyable too! Thank you Emily and David Lloyd Hatfield- highly recommend!

Have had a really positive experience so far with David Lloyd so far. Everyone has made me feel so welcome and they have such a good range of classes/facilities it has made it worth while! I was also assigned a Personal trainer in Sydney Allen. I have never had a PT before so was very sceptical. But, she has been absolutely brilliant. One of the first question she asked me was where my Gym confidence was which was a 0. Sydney has taught me a lot in a few sessions and has increased my confidence to a 7. Sydney is also your biggest motivator and biggest critic, she is knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable. She pushes you the right amount. I also have an ongoing Injury so she adapts my sessions to me and my needs. I have really enjoyed my sessions with Sydney and would definitely recommend her.

I joined the David Lloyd in Hatfield very recently. From the moment I stepped into the club I had an amazingly warm reception from all the staff. I was given an extensive tour by Jess (from Sales). She was so friendly, knowledgeable and interested in what I wanted from the club. Thanks Jess for helping make the decision!! I have been assigned Sydney as my PT and had my first session a few days ago. I really enjoyed it, and felt the benefit the next day! She was very thorough and interested to know what I wanted from the session, friendly and really made me feel at ease. Thanks Sydney for putting me through my paces and making me believe in myself!!

I have just recently joined David Lloyd Hatfield and really enjoying it so far! Jess set up my account at the same time as my friend. After a few problems setting up our accounts, we are now all sorted and ready to go! I have done lots of classes already which have all been brilliant. I had my first PT session with Sydney on Monday. She made me feel so at ease and in just one session showed me how to use lots of machines. I felt I had a really good workout. I have booked my next 2 sessions in! Thank you :)

I joined David Lloyd Hatfield and have been working with Charlie Clee, one of the Personal Trainers, ever since. I can't recommend Charlie highly enough. Even at 6.15am on a grey Monday morning, he is full of enthusiasm. Having never set foot in a gym before joining, he has got me to a point where I'm much more confident about going to the gym and my strength has improved significantly.

Very disappointing customer service to existing customers! Over the past 12 months, the maintenance of spa and shower areas in some locations fell below an acceptable standard. Fruit flies in the sauna, steam area, and shower cubicles were observed by myself and other members, making visits uncomfortable and anxiety-inducing. This, combined with a price increase shortly after initiating my membership, has left me disheartened, as the service quality did not align with the fees paid. Additionally, the renewal process added to my frustration. After initially declining due to past experiences, I reconsidered based on assurances from David Lloyd employees about improvements for the upcoming year. However, upon attempting to renew a few weeks later, I was informed that it was no longer possible, contradicting previous communications. This inconsistency is both misleading and unprofessional, failing to uphold statements and promises made to customers. Considering my overall experience with David Lloyd's over the last year, there should be improved treatment, especially for existing customers. The inconsistency between expectations set by the staff and the actual service provided has left me shocked and really disappointed with the level of customer service received. I hope these concerns can be addressed promptly to enhance the overall satisfaction of existing customers.

Really great club and a welcoming friendly environment for my whole family. Great variety of activities for everyone and an amazing team running it. The fantastic Sue and Matt really stand out & are the backbone of the club. Their experience is clear, they are great at what they do & respond to anything thrown at them professionally & with a smile. Always surprises me how they seem to know almost every member by name! Thanks for making David Lloyd Hatfield feel like a second home!
